  • Do you service my area?

    We offer our services within a 50 mile radius of Columbia, SC. This includes the following counties: Aiken, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda and Sumter.

  • Do you offer mobile service?

    For your convenience, we offer **FREE MOBILE SERVICE** to the above listed areas.  We will come to your home, office or wherever your travels take you.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

    Yes. We offer a warranty on our products and craftsmanship that is good for as long as you own or lease your vehicle.

  • How long have you been in business?

    Absolute Glass Inc., began in Lexington, SC, in 2003.

  • Are your technicians certified?

    Yes. Our technicians are NGA, IGA and AGRSS certified, meaning they have been thoroughly trained on the proper procedures for removing and installing auto glass.

  • Do you offer wiper blades?

    Yes. We offer quality Motor Trend™ windshield wipers for an additional cost at the time of service. Installation is free at the time of auto glass service with the purchase of the wiper blades.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.

  • What does my Quote include?

    Your quote includes the cost of the glass and labor, local and state taxes, as well as any required moldings. The technician will notify you of any additional charges prior to completing the work.  You can request this quote on line under our Request a Quote page.

  • Is this site secure?

    Yes, our site makes use of industry standard secure socket layer (SSL) technology to ensure your information remains private.

  • Will you sell my personal information?

    We will never sell your personal information. Any information we collect from you will be used in accordance with our privacy policy.

  • How do I know if the damage can be repaired?

    If your windshield damage is smaller than the size of a fifty cent coin, it may qualify for repair.

  • What is OEM glass?

     OEM glass is from the dealership.  It is the original glass that came with your vehicle at time of purchase.  It would have the dealerships insignia on the glass.

  • What is the difference between OEM and Aftermarket glass?

    We install OEM, or Aftermarket auto glass. This means that it is essentially the same piece of glass that is installed at the time your vehicle is made, with the only difference being the insignia on the glass.  All manufacturer's of OEM glass also sell to the aftermarket industry.


    Our glass meets or exceeds all federal, industry and safety standards.

  • Will you replace the stickers on my windshield?

    Our trained technicians will remove all affixed stickers and items from your windshield for easy application to the new piece of glass if requested and legal for customer.

  • How long will my repair or replacement take?

    In many cases, windshield repairs can be performed in 30 minutes or less. Windshield replacements will take one hour or less, however, we recommend that you do not drive the vehicle for at least one hour after windshield replacement is complete due to federal safety standards.

  • How long will it be before I can safely drive my vehicle?

    Our technicians use the best materials, DOW Automotive adhesives, with a one-hour drive-away time for windshield installations. The technician will advise you if any additional time is required. 

  • Does my vehicle need to be in a covered or heated area?

    In the case of inclement weather the customer must provide a shelter that is adequate for the technician. difficult without cover.  Please advise technician of your facilities.

  • My rear view mirror is attached to my windshield. Will the technician attach it to the new windshield?

    Yes, our technicians will remove your rear view mirror and attach it to your new windshield prior to completing your service.

  • Will the chip or crack still be visible after the repair has been completed?

    A windshield chip or crack repair is used to prevent further damage to your glass and to restore the structural integrity of the vehicle. In most cases the repair will remove about 60-90% of the visibility of the crack.  In the state of SC, it is illegal to repair a windshield if the crack is in the direct line of the drivers vision.  If the crack is in the direct line of the drivers vision, all insurance companies in the state of S.C. would recommend the windshield to be replaced.

  • Will you vacuum my vehicle after service?

    Our technicians will vacuum all the glass pieces possible that are found in your vehicle's doors as a result of glass breakage.

  • How soon can the job be completed?

    In many instances, we can get you scheduled for service to be completed the very next day.

  • Will I have to wait with my vehicle?

    It is not necessary to wait with your vehicle; however, please have your car keys available for the technician.

  • Will the technician call me before he/she comes?

    Yes, in most cases the technician will call prior to arriving to complete your service.

  • How does the repair process work?

    Performing a windshield repair is a highly technical process that involves cleaning and treating the damage with specially designed resins and tools. In many cases, the damage can be repaired by one of our trained technicians in less than 30 minutes.

  • Will any part of my vehicle be harmed during the repair or replacement process?

    No, your vehicle should not be damaged during the repair or replacement process. 

  • How do I cancel/reschedule an appointment?

    If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact a representative at 803-951-7200.

  • Will checking on my deductible or inquiring about an auto glass claim raise my insurance rates?

    Asking your insurance provider about your policy coverage and deductibles is generally not considered a claim. To be certain, please refer to your insurance policy.

  • Will filing an auto glass claim count towards my insurance policy?

    In many cases, insurance companies will not count auto glass damage as a claim on your policy. To be certain, please refer to your policy or contact your agent and/or insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage.

  • What if I only have liability coverage?

    Because liability insurance only provides coverage for damages to another vehicle, auto glass services are not covered under your liability policy. Absolute Glass, Inc. offers multiple payment options including cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

  • Will all insurance companies waive my deductible if my windshield is repaired rather than replaced?

    Many insurance companies cover windshield repair at 100 percent coverage with no deductible. 

  • Do I need to contact my agent or insurance company before I contact Absolute Glass, Inc?

    We're experts at verifying coverage, filing the claim and handling all the paperwork. Absolute Glass, Inc. administers auto glass programs for more than 100 insurance companies. In many cases, we have coverage information available online. If not, we'll contact your insurance company and submit the claim on your behalf.  Click on our Insurance Claim Form and you can give us the information we need to set up your insurance claim immediately.
